Parts of Metro Manila were affected by sudden downpour Friday afternoon, causing floods in some areas.

According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the downpour caused gutter deep floods.

Parts of Quezon City were also affected by gutter deep flood.

In its thunderstorm advisory issued 5:37 p.m. state weather bureau PAGASA said heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds were being experienced in parts of Metro Manila.

Rain showers may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas, PAGASA added.
