In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Aghon still packed maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour and up to 85 km/h gusts. It is moving northwest at 30 km/h.

HEAVY RAINFALL OUTLOOK

PAGASA forecasts 100-200 mm of rain in the Bicol region, Northern Samar and the northern portion of Samar between Saturday and noon on Sunday.

CANCELLED FLIGHTS

Two flights โ€” between Manila and Virac, Catanduanes โ€” have so far been cancelled due to bad weather: Cebu Pacific flights 5J821 and 5J822. The more than 300 passengers on those flights have been advised to rebook their flights.

“No passengers were stranded at the airport,: the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said.

Flights at Bicol International Airport in Albay province have not been affected by the weather, CAAP said. 

“Commercial power supply is running. Most of the equipment, machineries are operating normally.
